With the right combination of personal care, high technology and continuing education, we maintain a commitment to our patients in every facet of our practice.

Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Grant Johnson was raised in Bedford, TX where his father, Dr. Michael Johnson practiced orthodontics for 28 years. Dr. Johnson completed his DDS degree in 1996 at Baylor College of Dentistry in Texas. He completed his orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University where he earned his Masters degree in Orthodontics. Upon graduating in 1999, Dr. Johnson returned to Texas to join his father and Dr. Collins in practice.

Dr. Johnson and his wife has one son. In their spare time they enjoy golfing, traveling and spending time with their French bulldog.

Dr. Monte Collins completed his orthodontic training at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1986 and has been in practice since then. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the orthodontic department at Baylor, actively engaged in clinical research and the training of future orthodontists.

Dr. Collins is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is the recipient of the American Association of Orthodontists' Dr. Tom E. Matthews award and the Dr. Robert E. Gaylord award which he received from his peers. Dr. Collins publishes and lectures extensively on new orthodontic technologies.

Dr. Collins is a lifelong resident of northeast Tarrant County. He and his wife have two boys. In their spare time they enjoy spending time outdoors, fly-fishing, snow skiing and riding horses.

About our Team
We make it our goal to make all of our patients feel right at home! Our friendly staff of professionals are highly trained and skilled. Our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We stay in step with the very latest in technology, advances and top-notch customer service by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Types of Braces We Use
We use Damon Brackets. The Damon bracket utilizes a “sliding door” technology known as self-ligation that allows the wire to slide back and forth within the bracket. There are no elastic or steel ties used with Damon braces which means less friction and greater comfort for the patient. Damon braces often reduce both treatment time and the number of adjustments that are usually performed.

The Insignia custom braces we use are great for patients who need a little cosmetic improvement but whom don't wish to wear braces. Insignia is custom tailored to your teeth, your smile and your treatment plan. Using 3-D imaging technology, Insignia can create precision brackets and wires to better suit your needs. Insignia braces are comfortable to wear and often result in shorter treatment times.

If all you need is a little cosmetic improvement and you prefer not to wear braces, the nearly invisible Red, White and Blue no-braces system we use could be for you. One of our doctors can evaluate you to determine if you are a candidate for our invisible aligners. If you are, you can have a dazzling new smile in just a few months.

Your First Visit
We are always excited to meet new patients at their first complimentary visit to our office. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and discussion of possible treatment options. We also will discuss time frames, and financial arrangements with you. Our goal is that you leave the office with a clear understanding of your needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take.

We ask that you bring with you any panoramic x-ray taken within the past six months. Also please bring your insurance card if you have orthodontic insurance.

Thanks for visiting our blog! We plan to share office news and info here with you. We also will be posting regular reading material here which is related to the exciting world of orthodontics. Have a great day and remember to smile often!
